  • Pedal Car Goldini - Back By Popular Demand!

We loved the Goldini Pedal Car by Baghera. And it appears you did too! So we have brought back this spectacular child’s car.

Painted in bright sunshine yellow, this metal pedal car never fails to bring smiles. The iconic vintage 1930s sports car style looks so adorable when your little speedster is racing around. Real rubber tyres, a sturdy and strong metal body and a padded seat for a comfy sitting position, mean this little car is built to last. Kids will love driving this car around so much they will not want to outgrow it – the handy adjustable pedals means they won’t have to (for a while at least!) -  the car can grow with your champion racer! • Tales of Pirates, Corsairs and Barbarossa

Pirates have long-held fascination for us with their romantic derring do. Stories of swashbuckling corsairs and tales of plunder enthrall us in their very excitement and pique our curiosity so much that we want to know more.

Our view of pirates today is very much shaped by Hollywood of the early 20th century. Think Douglas Fairbanks Snr swishing that sword into the top sail and gliding down to deck (watch video clip below piccies). More modern films continue the persona with the likes of Captain Jack Sparrow. It’s all great fun and kids love it! But remember, there were some very infamous pirates back in the day, such as Blackbeard and Henry Morgan and even Barbarossa. Ladies weren't immune to a life on the seas either. Anne Bonny and Mary Read also taking a piratical stance. Continue reading

  • Wooden Toys For Children To Learn & Have Fun

Let’s talk wooden toys. Why are they so great? Well, let us tell you what we think is so good about these timeless toys. They have been around for centuries. A trip to the Museum Of Childhood will prove that! I still have some toys that my Mum used to play with. Have you too? Learning with wooden toys is fun. With different colours, shapes and sizes, education is a breeze!

Learning & Fun Wooden toys Wooden Toys To Love & Cherish

We love the fact that wooden toys can be passed down through the generations. It is always good to remember past times and treasures such as these will evoke happy memories every time. Despite children breaking the odd bit or losing the occasional wheel, the basic toys rarely get much damage as they are made from sturdy wood. Durability is welcomed by many a parent who is aware that children can be excitable! Add to that fact wood is easy to clean and decoration is by non-toxic paint, what is not to love? • Haba Biofino Fabric Play Food Blog by Old Ted

Hi Fans, Ted here! My very first Blog. I am so excited! I have been asked to write a review of Haba Fabric Play Food… so here goes….

Haba Sponge Roll Haba Sponge Roll

Uuuummmmm… sorry, caught me choosing my tea! Haba Biofino Fabric Play Food is so bright and colourful it is sure to appeal to young eyes. The soft fabric play food is not only tasty looking but very durable too. I invited some of my toddler friends to a Pretend Play tea party last week and we had Haba Sponge Roll and Petit Fours. These little soft toy cakes are beautifully decorated with embroidery and beading. We had a bit of rough and tumble whilst sharing out, but no stitches have come out and the food has remained intact. A gentle machine cold wash (at 30C so Mum says. Oh, and if the food is small you might want to put it in a pillow case first) and air dry will soon sort out our jammy fingerprints. Continue reading
