Toys for a Rainy Day from The Toy Centre

As we head to the end of October the colder weather is setting in and with that comes rainy days! Rainy days can sometimes be a real struggle to keep your children occupied without wanting to hide in the cupboard and scoff down a chocolate bar.

So today I'm going to share some must have's from The Toy Centre to help get you through a rainy day indoors.

First up is craft and art supplies.

 Tidlo Double Sided Easel

Tidlo Double Sided Easel with Paper

This easel would be perfect for a rainy day and if you have multiple children you've got a chalk board one side, a white drawing board, a magnetic whiteboard and a paper roll at the top to roll down easily to use with crayons or paints which is great!

Melissa and Doug Creative Play

To go with your easel you could use either of these Melissa and Doug paint brushes either the Jumbo Brushes or the Medium Brushes depending on the age or ability of the child and also Melissa and Doug Triangular Crayons

A go to activity for me on a rainy day is definitely play dough and another fab one from Melissa and Doug available from The Toy Centre is this Shape, Model & Mould Play Dough SetIf you don't have any play dough this would be  great set to start with it has 4 individual tubs of modelling dough with moulding lids, 5 easy-grip wooden stamping cubes, a wheel press and 3 rolling pins with unique patterns.

Melissa and Doug Decorate your own

For slightly older children these Decorate Your Own Kits are fab are would be perfect to have in the cupboard. Coming in the Rubber Duck version or the Wooden Jet Plane these are great for a rainy day.

If you've managed to catch your children in a good mood when they aren't pestering to go out in the pouring rain concentration play or a focus activity is really good for passing the time. For little ones learning numbers and letters I love these magnetic ones.

Tidlo Lowercase Magnetic Letters

As they are magnetic they could be used on a fridge, whiteboard, magnetic easel or just on the floor and activities could include recognising letters and numbers or spelling out names or words!

Even though it's raining outside you could still have an indoor tea party with this really cute Tidlo Picnic Tea Set.

Or for the budding builders in your life this Complete Construction Kit from Pintoy is excellent! Although a slightly larger price you save buying it as a bundle and having the whole set means that you really can get stuck into imaginative play. It comes with 10 individual packages including construction workers, equipment, trucks, road rollers, bulldozer, mobile crane, digger and large crane. This set would certainly keep children busy on a rainy day.

Pintoy Complete Construction Series Set

My final suggestion of toys for a rainy day is either of these Castles from Krooom.

King Arthurs Castle Playset

Kroom King Arthurs Caslte Playset

Trinny Princess Castle Playset

Kroom Trinny Princess Castle Playset

These castles are super sturdy made with laminated cardboard and come with a fold out mat and characters to may imaginative play super easy and interactive for your children. They are bright and colourful but pack away really nicely so they don't have to be out and in use all the time meaning you could save them for a rainy day!

So with the colder, rainy days looming why not get stocked up on toys to keep in the cupboard or get your arts and craft box nice and full so your not stuck without things to do!
